It's a BOY!!!

He's here!  He arrived close to 3 weeks early, and I'm so glad!  It was not the easiest pregnancy!  Started out thinking it was a miscarriage, hospitalized twice for kidney stones, and the last month was sooooo painful!  Much more than my previous 2 pregnancies!  I thought he was going to be a huge baby just because I was always in so much pain!  I thought he was going to come Thursday, but that day my house was such a mess, I was just in a complete frenzy to clean in!  Once it was clean that night, I knew I was ready for the baby to come, and I felt like it would be any time now.  Sure enough, the next day I started contracting.  It was so frustrating!  It would be 2 minutes apart for 45 minutes, then slow down for an hour.  It did that the whole day!  I called the office to ask if I should go in anyway because I had c/sections.  The nurse was pretty dumb.  She said not to come in until the contractions were 2 minutes apart and too painful to talk through.  Then I would know my cervix was dilating.  I said, "Well, that would be new, because I certainly never dilated with my other two."  "Oh.  You had c/sections?"  Uh, yeah, that would be why I called and said it would be my 3rd c/section!  Hello?  Anybody there?  So she then said I had to wait till they were consistent and not slowing down ever.  Well, at that time it had been over an hour, so I called to find a babysitter and hoped and prayed it wouldn't stop.  I didn't think it would take nearly and hour and a half to get somebody over!  My mom was with her sister's, my dad was late getting off work, and Alyse didn't have a car!  Finally, Alyse's fiance's mom said she'd drop Alyse off to watch the boys till my dad could come.  They were leaving, when my dad made it home, so Alyse stayed with her fiance and I waited (impatiently) for my dad to come over.  It just sucked he was clear in Payson at the time!  But it turned out to be a good thing.  Matt was able to make it home and get dressed, I was able to keep walking to keep the contractions nice and strong, and get the boys packed to spend a couple of nights at Grandma's house.  We got to the hospital, and of course, they had to check my cervix.  I was a 1.  Big shock.  They asked my pain level. 3 or 4, so I said, "About an 8."  Always better to round up, cause I'd rather not wait for them to be extremely painful before surgery.  That would be stupid.  It was around 7 or so, so they didn't even make me wait a whole hour before calling the dr.  After 45 minutes they came in and informed me I got to have a baby soon.  Yay!  No time to panic about surgery, cause I had to get ready for it!  Matt and I called our parents, they did all the IV and fun stuff, then took me to the OR while Matt got dressed in his fancy OR outfit.  The anesthetist did a wonderful job!  I was so numb, I didn't even worry about feeling anything!  Just the way it should be!  He did make me wear an oxygen mask, but that didn't bother me too much.  I hate having the spinal without my husband there to hold, though!  There is just something so comforting about having him there, and the nurse is not a great replacement, though my nurses were all wonderful!  Matt arrived and held my hand, and all was well.  We then just waited.  As they pulled out the baby, they told Matt he could watch.  He stood up, watched, then with misty eyes told me, "It's a boy!"  I was so happy!  I've never really been one to be overly concerned about not getting my daughter.  I would love to have one someday, but I adore my boys so much, I could never be upset about getting all sons!  Matt looked torn over whether to stay or leave to go to our baby, so I said, "Matt, get over there and look after our little boy."  He gave me a quick kiss, then left across the room.  It didn't take long before I got to see my handsome little thing.  The nurse said she wanted me to see how cute he was before they got him all cleaned and wrapped, and I was grateful!  Matt said he looked normal size, so I was pretty surprised when they yelled out the weight, 5lbs 14 oz!  No way!  Matt is not a good judge of size!  We got our first pic as a family in the OR, then Matt left while they finished stitching me up.  I only had to stay in my room an hour before they wheeled my bed down.  I saw Matt rocking the little guy through the window, and they brought him right in!  Of course, recovery has sucked.  They say each c-section gets easier, but I think they keep getting more painful!  It didn't help that I ended up with a spinal headache!  They gave me a blood patch, and it fixed me right up!  I ended up staying an extra night, so I'll go home in the morning.  But I'm so happy we have this sweet, special little boy in our care, and I just adore him!  Totally worth all the pain!

Anxiously awaiting my little one.  They all guessed girl, but I told them they were wrong:)
I was way off on size!  I guessed around 7 lbs. So did not expect 5 lbs 14 oz!  And only 17 1/2 inches!
Introduced to my sweet boy.  I instantly knew his name was Thomas, it just fit him perfectly!  His middle name is Brian after Matt's dad.  Matt was pretty excited about that:)
Our first pic together!  Don't look close if you're squeamish!  The nurse kinda got a bit of my insides in the pic!
He was grunting a bit, so they flipped him on his tummy to help clear his lungs

Our Summer

I can't believe August is nearly over!  Our summer has flown, and I haven't written since spring!  Oh, well, my boys have been keeping me busy!  Our newest little one will be here the beginning of November.  The earliest I can schedule my c-section is the 6th, but I may do it the 7th just because I like Wednesday better than a Tuesday:)  And if I go into labor before the 6th, all the better!  It's not been the best pregnancy ever!  I was nearly 7 weeks when I first went in, and there was no sign of the baby.  My dr wanted to do a repeat ultrasound the next week just to make sure, but we were trying to figure out the best time to schedule a d&c.  The next week, the baby appeared and surprised us and the dr!  All my other pregnancies, miscarriage and ectopic included, I was sick by 5 weeks, and this I had no symptoms at all until 2 days before my 2nd ultrasound!  Crazy!  Then I ended up in the hospital twice with kidney stones.  That sucked!!!  I had them once with Anthony.  I almost went in a 3rd time, but decided to suffer through the most agonizingly painful night till I passed them, and found out later I should have gone in.  We'd met our deductible and it would have just cost a small co-pay to go back.  I told Matt he's not to let me be that dumb again!  My boys are both wild and crazy, though Anthony is much more mellow than Josh! Josh loves being a big brother, and loves Anthony, but he is also really hoping this one is a baby sister.  We decided not to find out till it is born.  Anthony is so jealous when I hold another baby, or Josh for that matter, so I think he's in for quite the rude awakening when this one is born!  Not much more to say.  Our summer has been filled with camping, walks, playing in water and dirt, and dying of heat!  I've loved it!  I have now been out of a job for a full year, and hopefully I can keep it that way:)  Now for a billion summer pics!

Matt struggles mowing the lawn now.  Josh has to help push, and Anthony has to be held!
Josh thinks you must wear a life vest while mowing the lawn!
Josh was trying to be so helpful by opening and dumping out the pepper!
I cleaned the basement, put Josh there to watch a movie for quiet time, an hour later this is what I came down to!
My happy boy rocking with Mom.
It is rare for Josh to cuddle with me and fall asleep.  I love it!
Anthony looks up to his big bro!
 Mischief makers!
One lady at the hospital really sucked at IVs.  My arm swelled up that much while she got the blood, then she tried to flush it in!  I was not happy about that!
Matt's Father's Day gift- a rose bush.  The rose was on the bush until after Matt dug the hole.  He turned to put down the shovel, and Josh attacked the poor flower!  It was beautiful before that, and at least it will bloom again!
 Josh is obsessed with baseball!
 Anthony loves his snuggle blanket!
Of course, the dog dish is the best toy ever!
 Swimming!
Josh took a breadstick from the fridge, ripped it in half, and gave the other half to his brother:)

Pretty little lake where we camped.
A tree branch hit Anthony's head, so he wanted to sit on Mom's lap.
We stopped to eat on our way home from camping.  The boys loved the train going around the ceiling!
Anthony had a rough trip!  He tipped over in his camping chair and hit face first into the picnic table.  Thus, the mashed up face!  But he was still cheerful!
